All the buzz this weekend was about a Discovery Chanel program that created, the Examiner reports, a fictional account of someone discovering a mermaid,
And folks apparently took it seriously, USA Today reported.
Sadly, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says the belief is all wet.
Yet, isn't there so much more to the world than we really know? (See creepy video below)
I know at least one person in the newsroom who claims to believe in 'Bigfoot'  and I think that is fun.
Plus, in the end, wasn't Ariel just a finned girl who wanted to have fun?
